We started as a securities firm in 1977 and evolved into a diversified group serving individuals, businesses, and communities across our markets.

We secured a merchant banking license in 1982. In 2001, we transitioned to First City Monument Bank, expanding our reach and capabilities.

After listing on the Nigerian Stock Exchange in 2004, we grew through strategic acquisitions and strengthened our position in a changing industry.

In 2013, we restructured into FCMB Group Plc, unifying our businesses to better serve our customers

Today, we operate as a diversified financial services group headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria, and maintain a presence in the United Kingdom.

We offer banking, investment management, and fintech services. Our team delivers lending, investment banking, asset management, pensions, trusteeship, cross-border payments, Baas, and transaction banking.
